As of 2013, Arab students made up a very small percentage of Harvard’s student body, with only 118 students from Arab nations enrolled across all colleges and degree programs, accounting for less than 2% of the 4,000 international students at Harvard. The HAAA aims to raise $10 million to support Arab students in financial need who gain admission to any of Harvard’s schools.

Eligibility Criteria
Recipients of the HAAA Scholarship are selected by the Harvard Committee on General Scholarships based on criteria established by the Harvard Arab Alumni Association:

How to Apply for The HAAA Scholarship
To apply for the HAAA Scholarship, follow these steps:
- Apply to Harvard: First, apply to any school within Harvard University. Once accepted, proceed to the next step.
- Financial Officer Submission: The financial officer of your school will submit your application to the Harvard Committee on General Scholarships, which will then decide who receives the award. You do not need to apply directly to the HAAA.
